Backyard Backstories from Dallas with Aaron Tharp
Hello! Texas Event Designer Aaron Tharp has enthusiastically embraced his new hometown of Dallas, after starting his Hello! career in our Orlando office. Find out what his favorites are so far!
My definition of One Perfect Day in my hometown is gonna
have to be a Sunday, you know for brunching of course. Head over to Pink Magnolia with friends,
perhaps go grab a slice of cake at Cake Bar or some pie at Emporium Pies, then
either peruse Bishop Arts, the farmers market, or stroll through Klyde Warren
I chose to make Dallas my home because: this is where it’s
at! It’s one of the fastest growing
cities for millennials, it’s such a great city for young professionals. The options are endless, there’s always going
to be something to do at night or over the weekends. Coming from a small town in Indiana I can
appreciate the city life, you’re definitely not going to get bored here!
I’m passionate about the food in my hometown. It’s hard to
find a major food chain in this city, but that’s what I love about it. All of these small restaurants and foodie
spots are amazing, the explosion of unique flavors and culinary backgrounds
make it really special. I haven’t eaten
somewhere and not enjoyed it.
People would be surprised to know that Dallas has more
restaurants per capita than any other US city (yup even more than NYC)
In my opinion, tacos or BBQ are the signature food item that
visitors must sample in my hometown. You
just can’t go wrong here; the food is always on point!
